I’m nutty for tea.
I have one $8 teapot that I use and use and use and use, while I lust over non-$8 teapots. Like the “Blue Soldier,” so named because it’s the only teapot that’s a Crimean War veteran.
Okay, it’s acutally named that because it looks like the helmet of an old-fashined Japanese soldier, but I like the Crimean war thing better.
This hand-glazed teapot is considerably more than $8, but I bet it makes way better tea.
Okay, it actually probably makes the exact same tea as my $8 teapot, but I’ll feel like a better person. Isn’t that how spending money works?
Yup, that’s how it works. It’s a very cool teapot. It’ll make you feel cool to have it.
I love teapots. I have 2, both quite nice, plus assorted tea strainers, cozies, quality loose-leaf, etc. And yet, most of the time, I make tea by pouring boiling water over a teabag in a thermal cup. I am obviously a philistine.
I thought it was cute, too…until I saw the price.
Oh…plus…blue would not fit my ‘decor.’
vivian, yeah, that’s why these are all “things i want” and not “things i have.”
Shit. Now I totally want that too.
Holy teabags! That’s quite a hefty price for a teapot that probably makes the same exact tea that an $8 teapot does.
