Okay, it totally is. It’s also a great excuse for going to the emergency room, and for taking a broad-spectrum antibiotic.* I had a plan for tonight’s dinner and everything, so as soon as this whole coughing-up-blood thing is past I’m all over this shit.
Just not, y’know, right now.
*Zithromax. Totally sounds like the bad guy in a 1950s B Sci-fi movie.
NOTE: If anyone else is trying to send in a Tight-Ass Tuesday entry and is having the email bounce back, let me know in the comments – it may be a glitch with my recent switch in site hosts, but should be fixed now. If you’ve sent me something in the last week and haven’t gotten a response, please resend it. Thanks for the alert, Kay!
I generally get Zithromax for my every-18-months-like-fucking-clockwork respiratory infections (seriously, it’s like the universe sets a “time to choke cayenne again” task in its calendar) & it works nicely. Though if you’re on the 6-dose/5-day version, you probably still won’t feel 100% when you’re finished the meds, but really, it does clear up the crap. Feel better soon!
Holy shit. That doesn’t sound healthy at all. If I lived close, I’d make you some soup.
Anyway, let me be the second to add my good wishes for getting better soon (Yeah for the Z-pack!), and the first to say my Tight Ass Tuesday entry of Udon Alla Carbonara with Honey Miso Roasted Vegetables is reposing in your mailbox.
Stay home and take care of yourself.
I take that back. It isn’t. Because it bounced, twice, saying you have an “unrouteable e-mail address.” WTF?
Pu**y… I meant full of puss. Sorry bad joke. feel better.
Gah damn that doesn’t sound like fun.
Glad to see Kay did the monthly Tight Ass Tuesday. I’ll be doing my bastardization sometime this week; if the blood coughing ends, you should make a non-Tuesday TA too.
Holy crap, lady! Rest up!
Damn! Take it easy, lay around, and pamper yourself.
Here, wait, I have a better idea: let’s NOT cough up blood! That sounds like way more fun!
I hope the antibiotics put that blood back in its place (i.e., not hacking out of your throat) and you’re feeling better soon.
I’m kind of right there with you, I’ve been on an antibiotic for the last ten days. It’s (wait, have to go look) Cephalexin, and it’s made me headache-y and nauseous and vomitous-y for the last ten days; I took the last one yesterday afternoon, and I think I’m just now coming out of it. Tomorrow at 9:15 am I have a root canal scheduled, and I’m really quite excited to get this shit over with. I hope you feel better soon, too!
Aw no fun! I got the flu shot this year, and woke up with a sore throat yesterday. Thankfully it went away, hoping it was just a slight weather change/shit in the air thing that is so common in CA…. I made Frito Pie.. probably not fusion-y enough (but cheap enough, lol)… to celebrate it being less than 80 degrees outside.
yikes! dont forget to eat a bunch of yogurt and back up your birth control! lol
hey everyone, thanks for the well-wishes and worry. i’m still feeling shitty but seem to be done with the blood-coughing part, so that’s a plus.
i’ll still be around for top chef tonight, hope to see you there.
oh shit! so were they able to diagnose what you’re dying of? or is it just the run of the mill “coughing up blood” bug? 😉 Glad to hear the bloody coughing has ceased! Feel better soon, woman!
Crapper, is there anything we can do to help?
