Hey! I just spent a good 10 minutes cracking up over your kick-ass blog. I wanted to extend an invite to you to check out BlogHerAds – we’ve recently reopened the network to new sites, and I see you’re moving from wordpress to a new host…
If you are interested in having ads on your site, let me know! We’d love to have you in the network!
Jenny Lauck
Jenny: I would definitely be interested. I would way rather run BlogHer ads and support the BlogHer network than do something like AdSense. Just let me know what to do!
what a great find! you have tons of recipes and they all look delicious. can’t wait to try out a few!
I really dig your website. TBH not for the recipes but for the snark. Anyway, I would like to add it to my blogroll. Is that cool? I run a website trying to be totally serious about a totally unserious subject: reviewing frozen foods. If you dig it, I hope you would return the favor. If not, thats cool too. I just want to send my readers to your stuff.
-Much props.

Okay, your blog has quickly surpassed Ruhlman’s as my favorite. Am adding it to my blogroll posthaste. Who did your design? I’d like to hire them! Keep up the snark.
Now this will be something to look forward too amidst the sea of bs that arrives daily
Prepare me a meal, while drinking. I’ll do the same.. style contest.
Welcome back. You are one amusing gal. My favorite food blog.
Turnips are a big item in Western KY. Turnip Greens are even a bigger item! To make turnips, peel them. Dice them up and put in salted water. Boil until soft. Mash with butter and salt and pepper like you would mashed potatoes. Also good if you roast them along with other root veggies…eg…parsnips, carrots, sweet potatoes, with some olive oil and seasonings. Turnip greens are good cooked until very very done in boiling water, a little pepper vinegar…and maybe a piece of Hog Jowl…or bacon fat. Drink the ” pot Liquor” when you want a big vitamin boost or crumble corn bread in the bowl of the liquid.. UMMMM UMMMM
So glad to see on you Mac and Cheese page you say you’re giving up tofu. Women shouldn’t eat soy in any form. I just finished chemo and rad for breast cancer. Soy is a form on hormone and is a big no no for breast cancer patients and survivors. Just wanted to let you in on that because you are young and so are your readers
the chilaquiles worked great – easy, and my husband actually said we should have it often ( a double win.) I am wondering if there might be a recipe that uses cornbread and standard Mexican ingredients, to create a layered casserole, not unlike 7-layer dip. Can you make recommendations?
Or even make a version yourself– since i am good at following your pictures – i mean, your instructions.
many thanks, for many ideas,
bev

Hey Michelle, I read this in my New Yorker and thought of you.

Connie
I’m a Top Chef viewer who wouldn’t dream of watching the show without my laptop handy so I can read your live commentary. Therefore, I wanted to make absolutely sure you know that your boy FABIO!!! is getting his own show on Bravo. And oh yeah … Padma is preggers. I cannot wait to see what you’re going to do with that one.
hey Michelle!
Its been ages but I just read this bit in NY mag’s grub street and thought of you

If you can’t access it let me know- Its an article on how certain recently folded food magazines are blaming blogers for their demise. its interesting but not all there….
Drinks soon!

This blog…it amuses me.
Just found this blog through your Suez canal review and am in love. Can’t wait to steal your recipes.
Just found your blog through your macaron posts, and they are so outrageously funny you just gave me a tummy ache.
I found some shit I want! and figured the results of the following link indulged both your combined love of tea and ridiculously priced ceramics…

My blog partner and I liked your Awesome Shit That I Want Monday so much that we decided to join in. Your blog is great! Love the snark.
I just wandered over here from Damn Hell Ass Kings about two weeks ago and I am hooked. I made the smokey andouille with lentils soup and the roasted cauliflower with parsnip soup (being Lent and all, bad Catholic as I am it’s like the least I can do).
I’m debating recruiting my brother (who is culinarily inclined) to make the buttercream cake with the bacon toffee. I think we can do it, as we have the technology. And a shit-ton of bacon lying around.
Keep on being awesome.
You have Smoke-a-thon, we have BaconFest! And the dessert this year will be your guest post of Pancake Ice Cream with Candied Bacon. A lot of work, but damn, that stuff is good. BaconFest 2.0 is tomorrow, can’t wait to see what dishes show up.
And by the way – TOTALLY sucks that I was .2 lbs OVER the damn pork poundage! I had that thing in the bag…
Keep blogging…you keep me entertained AND fed!
I’ve followed your blog for awhile and love it. I especially enjoy your live blogs of shows I don’t get around to watching, like Top Chef Masters. Actually, I suppose I COULD watch Top Chef Masters, but WOULD RATHER NOT.
Your live blog is much more entertaining.
Anyway, I saw these posters/tee shirts on a website and immediately thought of you (that’s right – YOU, person that I do not really know – it freaked me out a little, but I’m over it now). I thought these items were right up your ally, being that they are heavy on the pork and all. But I could be wrong…

Please note – I am not “selling shit” and I have no affliation with the company to which I have provided a website; however, being a Puerto Rican mamasita, I do have an affinity for all things pork! Good day, Madam.
