That’s some slightly sub-par takeout udon. I didn’t make it (if I had, it would be better). I don’t particularly feel like eating it either, because when I got home from my shitty day at work I ate a bag of cheese popcorn while I watched American Idol. And you know what? I feel better, although I’m not sure if it’s because of the popcorn or Jason Castro’s intoxicating, ukelele-accompanied version of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.” And if you want to judge my low-browitude, I respectfully suggest that you attend to the beam in your own fucking eye.

You may be wondering why I’m berating you in a post about takeout noodles. I would be too, if I were you.

WELCOME TO THE NEW DIGS! 01 Mar 08

Let us rejoice with hummus and half-eaten falafel.

There’s still a little cosmetic work to be done, and I’m not totally sold on a theme yet, but welcome to thursday night smackdown’s new permanent home! And all completed with no casualties except for three missing comments: sorry Catherine, Jenny and Rattling the Kettle.  Please come back!

The thursdaynightsmackdown.wordpress.com site will stay up but won’t be updated anymore, so be sure to point your bookmarks and feeds to www.thursdaynightsmackdown.com.

Also, to avoid confusion I’m officially changing the name of the site to thursday night smackdown, so adjust your blogrolls accordingly please (those elite few of you who have granted me that honor). Half of you were going with TNS and the other half with Us vs. Food, so now we’re all on the same page. Plus, now I can call it “TNS” for short and feel like a cool kid.
