This is off topic, and for that I apologize, but HOLY GOD are you going to be liveblogging Hell’s Kitchen this season? I just caught the first half hour and it looks especially ridiculous this season. Please tell me you’ve seen it.

I’m pretty sure it will at least be more entertaining than the Top Chef Masters nonsense, and beg you to live blog it. It helps reassure me that I’m not the only one seeing this shit.

anna, i could have just eaten that garlic and oil for dinner. sadly, i had a total lack of foresight and did not buy a baguette. we gave the leftover broth to the dogs. kay, really? because that sounds seriously good. don't be modest. emily, yeah, i didn't think so, but we thought we'd give it a whirl. can't imagine watering it down would help much. karen, it's you all that give me the strength. must...prepare...meal..for...internet...strangers. also, the dinner was freaking awesome. totally worth it. mittany, pernod = fish, that's all i know. also, that columnist = tool. peggasus, once you understand the points and the jerseys and can decipher phil liggett the whirlpool will suck you under. be careful. ace, yeah, lance announced the formation of 'team radio shack' after yesterday's time trial.

Gah. As if I could find Pernod in this one-store town. Is there a substitute? Oh wait, NEVERMIND, I can’t get snapper either. Shit. That sounds delicious.

I discovered we get something named the VS channel (Versus? I think) with the TdF, so I have been watching it sporadically, even though I have no idea what they’re talking about with the points and such. I know, I could look it up on wikipedia, but I haven’t.The scenery is spectacular, though. I think I know that guy you’re referring to! Once I heard him say something about something being ‘long, and hard, and taking a tremendous amount of endurance,’ and all I could think was: That’s what SHE said!
