When I first moved to the neighborhood, I went to Ibby’s so often, I should have been paying rent. Then apparently I hit my falafel limit and stopped for a while. FFwd 2 years, throw in a visiting sister-in-law, and suddenly I went three times in a week in May. And two of those times ended with Torico’s coffee and cookies ice cream too…
ps, my friend in DC sent me your blog and I really enjoy it. And I just figured out we share a neighborhood. Small world stuff here.

canary, isn’t it? i tend to go a while between orders from Ibby’s, and then when i eat their food again i have to fight against ordering it every single night.

indigo, you have to literally trek to obtain chinese takeout? [shudder]

Oh god, I don’t have words to say how much I want that shwarma platter. Houmous, shfbjsbhjs. I love houmous. I live in the crappest of little villages, and a Chinese takeaway is a long trek through the hills away (and considered pretty wild). I am SO jealous.

elle, i wish i could control that genie; i'd be eating namoura for breakfast right now. marc, indeed. and if you're not to full, you should then head over to torico's for some homemade ice cream. brittany, the low prices at ibby's make it well worth the cross-country trip. grace, it's true, i am lucky. also fat, so there you go. laura, yes, it is stupid cheap. yet another virtue.

Looks delicious. And is it just me (what with conversions and all) but is that stupidly cheap for a meal? That namoura looks insanely good. I like to eat stuff like that methodically too of course it’s the right way!

if i had food like that within walking distance (heck, even within reasonable driving distance), i’d be in danger of never cooking again. and of getting really, really fat. i, for one, can never say no to most middle eastern food, especially hummus or baklava. although i’ve never had namoura (a tragedy, wouldn’t you say?), i know i’d find it irresistible. you are one lucky lady. i kinda resent you.

I have now found my reason to jet over to Jersey City.
I think it’s well worth the plane fair. We just don’t have take out like that in Seattle- unless you want Vietnamese, thai, japanese, chinese, or laotian. We are seriously lacking in the Middle Eastern department. A major fault of this city.
